Skinning and customising
BlogNewsCMS has a powerful templating system tht allows all pages to be customised by simply modifying the Template files.
By Default, there is a single skin installed in the download package - all the required files are in the skins/default/ sub-directory. If you wish to create a custom skin, start by simply copying the default directory and all files into a new directory in the skins directory. Then, simply modify your config.php and point to the new directory.
Once your configuration is pointing to the new directory, it should be a simple matter of modifying the files until you acheive the look that you want.
The other alternative is to download one of the Custom Skins from here, then put it onto your server in the skins directory and modify your config to point to it.
We have up to 10 Free Unbranded Licences to give away in exchange for a custom skin. Siply create a custom skin and contact us via the support Forums and we can work something out! If you are a great designer this is your chance for a Free Licence!
All Submitted Skins are under the following licence conditions:
- Copyright is retained by Author
- Any "Template by" links in the Skin are optional and may be removed
- We will provide a link to your website
